A 5km beachfront promenade lined with hotels, restaurants, cafes, and sunset views.
Agadir's Corniche is the city's vibrant seaside promenade that stretches along the entire 5km (3-mile) curve of the bay. This pedestrian and cycle-friendly boulevard is the beating heart of Agadir's tourism scene, lined with hotels, beach clubs, restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlors, and souvenir shops. The Corniche is where locals and tourists alike come to see and be seen, especially in the late afternoon and evening when the weather is perfect for a stroll. Families with children love the playgrounds and open spaces; joggers and cyclists use the dedicated lanes; and everyone gathers to watch the spectacular Atlantic sunsets. The promenade connects the Marina (west end) to the main beach area (east end). Benches are scattered all along the walkway for those who want to simply sit and watch the ocean. Street vendors sell fresh coconut, roasted nuts, and corn on the cob. On weekend evenings, the atmosphere is festive with families picnicking and children playing. The Corniche is accessible to all and free to use. It's the perfect place to start or end any Agadir day[citation:1][citation:9].
